LEARNING ABOUT FANTASY

'L' is for Learning:

Building castles in the air(fantasy)

Nature’s gifts conjure up aspects that mesmerize,

One such is the ability to fantasize.

To soar midair on the mystic wings of fancy,

Daydreaming, make believing with quite frequency.

It is OK-

If it goads towards some tangible action,

To pursue a goal tenaciously, without whining tension,

Step by step, visualization and execution of a task,

While furthering life forces sans evil masks.

However, there is a caveat-

Falling into traps of illusions,

Sinking into bouts of seclusion.

Losing the tensile bond of reality,

Imagining escapades of sexuality.

Well, realm of fantasy is a two edged sword,

You can either bleed or pull the right chord.

  3. Like your philosophy that it's what you do with a thing that makes it good or bad.

  6. There is much wisdom in your verses today, Uppal! Fantasy is a wonderful tool to inspire us to greater things, if we can imagine it, perhaps we can make it happen! But just as you note, if one sinks into the habit of living in a fantasy world it turns to delusion and disappointment, and eventually abandoning the good things in life for the role playing in our heads. This was well done! I am always happy to see you join us! :-)
