WE THE PEOPLE....

"WE ALL ARE A LITTLE BROKEN.

      &; THAT'S OKAY."

P is for people: We the people

Think!
We the people of the world:

Why brickbats and evils, at us are hurled?

Not yet forgotten legacy of gory past,
Pricks yet, with a penchant to forever last.

Merciless killings happen, and none is spared,
Religious bigotry is aggressively declared.

Threats, fears and intimidations do suck,
The resilient beings have even lost pluck.

Terrorists butcher people at will,
Misguided taste the bitter pill.

Power and lucre have snaked into life process,
Most feel as if living under duress.

Double speak and lies consume vitality,
World is being denuded of plurality.

Let’s spread the magic of life force,
Awaken sane voices derailed in mid-course.

 Flower thoughts alongside life thoughts.
These orange blooms are my home production. Looking good around railing,  space outside our boundary wall.

Another shot. They are growing in a long row along the railing.

Iris flower plants waiting to have blooms.

EMBRACING THE WORLD IN BEAUTY

Indian Bloggers

Shed no tear! O shed no tear!
The flower will bloom another year.
Weep no more! O weep no more!
Young buds sleep in the root's white core.
- John Keats

 Beaming and welcoming!

'O' is for 'opening up' for soothing our hearts and souls:

A few days ago i woke up to the enchanting and fresh smiles of this trio. This cactus variety blossoms twice a year but sadly its life is very short. By the evening it wilts. Yet 'A thing of beauty is a joy for ever.' Keats

THE NAYSAYERS

'N' is for Naysayers:

You must have been conscious of the people around you, who are die-hard naysayers? Yes, we do come across many such specimens who are mean as well as skeptics. Well. We try to ignore them. Releasing them out of their deep-rooted pessimism is beyond any one’s capacity or patience. In fact, such deep-rooted habits stick till the end.The cynicism pattern becomes a part of their DNA. Such people are neither an asset to the company they work for nor the household they are part of.

One can characterize them as those who gloat over, when they succeed in putting a spoke in the wheels of others. They are the ones who are adept in finding faults. They show falsevehemence of disapproval to thwart the progression of proceedings.

They are bad workers who are aggressive and incompetent. Nothing is good enough for them. They generate negative vibes in the atmosphere. Well-meaning suggestions are beyond their megalomaniac propensities. They enjoy gloating satisfaction in putting hurdles in others' path. Such people have a great nuisance value. If they are your colleagues, they will make decision making hard for you. They will interject with flailing arms and raised volume of their voice. People are wary of dealing with them.

This category of people you can count among your close relations also. They envy your success and ‘don’t care’ attitude. One of the solutions is to avoid them. Stop allowing them to take advantage of your mild manners out of family courtesy. On the other hand, you can let them know not to mess up with you by standing your ground in conversations.

In your workplace also, you need to act, to show disregard for their pessimistic and exaggerated concerns. They would remain an eyesore, though. The naysayers have vast amounts of destructive energy. They are thick-skinned aggressive egoists. Let their tribe decrease!

SLICE OF HISTORY- GURUDWARA FATEHGARH SAHIB, SIRHIND

This historic Gurudwara located at Fatehgarh Sahib, Sirhind in the Indian state of Punjab is steeped in tragic  history. It was built to commemorate the martyrdom of two younger Sahibzadas (sons)  Baba Fateh Singh 9 and Baba Zorawar Singh 7, of Guru Gobind Singh ji- the 10th and last Guru of Sikhs. The two tender hearts were bricked alive in 1704 by the  orders of then Mughal Governor of Sirhind, Wazir Khan for refusing to embrace Islam. The wall where the execution took place has been preserved inside the main Gurudwara and is known as Gurudwara Bhora Sahib.- Wikipedia.
........

Hubby and I had a deeply felt spiritual experience when we visited the place  last week . Sitting with  Sangat ( other visitors) in the Langar hall, to eat community lunch was memorable.

M is for Monument: Religious monument.

The main Gurudwara.

The covered entrance to the main Gurudwara.

Another view of the historic Gurudwara.

The  langar  building ( free kitchen) where devotees sit on mats spread on the floor to partake community  meals.

The arched entrance to the free kitchen named after tenth Guru's mother Mata Gujri.

The Fort like construct  was named as Thanda Burj ( cool Fort) where Mata Gujri along with her two grandsons was confined in extreme cold weather as a punishment. When Mata Gujri learnt about the sad news of the martyrdom of her younger grandsons, she collapsed. --Wikipedia.
