RAIN WASHED SKY WATCH

Indian Bloggers

Pure blue sky over Shivalik hills after a spell of rain.

It had rained during the day. In the evening the atmosphere looked crystal clear. This click happened.

'STAND AND STARE'

Nature's splendour

We live in this area.(above) On the left of the picture is the community park, which i frequent for walks. Outside the railing of the park are a pair of 'Gulmohur' trees resplendent with their deep orange blooms. The riot of color often entices me to linger on  a while and have  some clicks. However, this glory is going to end soon as the summer is approaching with its blazing sun shine and sweating bodies.

The thin formation of clouds on a  grey sky in the midst of  urban landscape makes them  look so near though actually fathomless. Appearances are pleasantly deceptive. The picture taken from the road in front of our house.

SKY WATCH FRIDAY

Afternoon sky, over hills in Himachal Pradesh.

These two pictures were taken at Barog or near about, during last summer,  while driving on the Kalka- Shimla Highway  on a mildly greyish afternoon. Between Shiwalik hills on both sides, there is a deep scary gorge and i always avoid looking in that direction. But the sky view is always gorgeous there.

MUTUAL RESPECT

linked to SKYWATCH FRIDAY

Far away the meeting point between the sky and  the sylvan cover where both complement each other. This sky click happened via left front window of our car on Shimla -Chandigarh Highway while on our return journey to Patiala.

RAIN SOAKED SKY WATCH

 SKY WATCH FRIDAY

It's been drizzling since morning and the atmosphere is thinly hazy. The light grey sky is concealing the watery reservoir under its wraps, to send it to us  in small measures. It was windy in the morning. At the moment it is still, though, uncomfortably cold outside. The environment appears to be saturated with moisture. I felt that way when i went out adventurously and captured the sky scape in mild rain spell, about an hour ago (at four thirty or so). Hope you like it.

The room heater keeps me warm and  enables me to function normally.

SKY WATCH FRIDAY

MERGER OF SKY, SNOW AND AUTUMN IN ONE FRAME

Going out in extreme cold weather conditions, prevailing in the whole of North India, is certainly not advisable. My forays into the 'Kodak Moments' was nil, to say the least.

So I took recourse to the small treasure of my archives.

This one is a part of the series of pictures I took of the first snowfall of the season in Cincinnati USA during mid November of 2013!  I's in the US at that time. I've already shared some of them with you!

RISING SUN RADIATES

SKY WATCH FRIDAY

I remain fascinated by the glory of the sun in all its phases.  Can a wannabe photographer like me( if I dare to use this epithet) just ignore the manifestation of this unique entity, the gift of the supreme power who makes the universe go by? Without any apparent reason on a particular day, you simply wish to imprison the WONDER  in your camera!

Witnessing the rising sun at the start of its daily journey!
