SKY WATCH AND A BALCONY FENCE

                                         Merry Christmas To You All!

Sky and earth are always affectionately bonded!

From my archives. This sky view captured during mid morning walk at Philadelphia (PA) in the US, during our visit there in 2013.

Compact balcony fenced with iron railing at Kumarhatti (Shivalik Hills).Clicked in September 2015.

SKY WATCH AND GOOD FENCES

 Part of my hill series:

This is the driveway of the complex, where we are putting up for summer months. I wanted to get a larger view to share it with you and have succeeded in showing 3/4 of it. The  gate is at the farthest end (not visible here)and a gatekeeper manages the entry and looks after the security issues in the absence of residents. There are about 35 units in our community.

My previous sky watch clicks were either taken from our balcony or from the lawn or from the road. I felt like experimenting how the sky will look if I capture it from in between the trees from the driveway. Here is what i achieved.

Location: Kumarhatti-Nahan Road,3km from Kumarhatti bazar (Himachal Pradesh)

SUNRISE IN THE HILLS                                       CLEAR BLUE SKY

I's on a short visit to the hills for a change of place. I didn't have the computer and missed participating in some memes. Unlike at Patiala, which has been enveloped by fog for the last so many days, sun shone brightly there. But the flip side was icy cold winds otherwise, which prevented moving out comfortably. During nights temperature dropped considerably and room heater was a must.

I took the opportunity to click a few pictures of the rising sun behind Shiwalik Hills at Kumarhatti (Solan).

THURSDAY CHALLENGE

THIS WEEK'S THEME IS:

"MY FAVOURITE PHOTO"

SUN RISE BEHIND THE SHIVALIK HILLS.              THIS ONE I PRIZE!

During the summer I stayed in the midst of Shiwalik hills for a few months. That gave me an opportunity to capture  nature in the peak of its beauty, during spring. Most of the pictures I've shared on my blog.

The picture above is one of my favorite shots. I clicked it at KUMARHATTI (SOLAN) at about 8'clock in the morning from my balcony.

SKY WATCH FRIDAY

SKY'S TWIN PARADIGM

THE ABOVE CLICK PERTAINS TO THE TIME ABOUT 8'CLOCK IN THE MORNING, WHEN THE SUN IS MOVING UP FROM BEHIND THE HILL TOPS. THE SQUARED THIN CLOUDS APPEAR TO BE GLUED TO THE SKY. THE MYSTERY OF THE SKYLINE, SEAMLESSLY BLENDS WITH THE EVERYDAYNESS OF LIFE ON  THE PLANET EARTH.

THE EVENING SKYLINE  CAPTURED FROM THE KUMARHATTI - NAHAN ROAD DURING  MY WALK.

SKYWATCH FRIDAY

Lucky to be part of this

During rainy season the palette of the sky changes dramatically at all times. It is a delight to capture the variations as they come along.

A strong patch of dark clouds straining to stand the rising sun.

Evening template on a cloudy day after a rainy night.

Moving thin clouds on the top of the hills. All three shot from my balcony nestling in the lap of Shivalik hills.

Thanks for having a look at my amateurish efforts !

PINES GALORE ON SHIWALIK HILLS

Friends, I'm in the midst of Shiwalik hills for a couple of months to beat the heat of plains. That is the upside.   But the down side is that I don't have Internet connectivity. I'm trying to improvise with an instrument which is  inserted into  the computer. But the response is erratic and speed worse than that of a snail.  I can do a little bit only in the morning. Browsing is out of question as links do not open. I won't be able to promote or comment at my favorite jaunt of Indiblogs. Please bear with me if i can't reciprocate. I thought i should tell you.

Here are a few photographs of the lovely pines I clicked on NAHAN road at KUMARHATTI (HP) which i want to share with you.

 Thanks!
