"WE ALL ARE A LITTLE BROKEN.
&; THAT'S OKAY."
P is for people: We the people
Think!
We the people of the world:
Why brickbats and evils, at us are hurled?
Not yet forgotten legacy of gory past,
Pricks yet, with a penchant to forever last.
Merciless killings happen, and none is spared,
Religious bigotry is aggressively declared.
Threats, fears and intimidations do suck,
The resilient beings have even lost pluck.
Terrorists butcher people at will,
Misguided taste the bitter pill.
Power and lucre have snaked into life process,
Most feel as if living under duress.
Double speak and lies consume vitality,
World is being denuded of plurality.
Let’s spread the magic of life force,
Awaken sane voices derailed in mid-course.
Flower thoughts alongside life thoughts.
These orange blooms are my home production. Looking good around railing, space outside our boundary wall.
Another shot. They are growing in a long row along the railing.
Iris flower plants waiting to have blooms.
Friends,welcome here as always!

ReplyDeleteThe poem is lovely in itself but the content is far from okay, life should be much more loving

So lovely dallies - enjoy your day - warm greetings!
ReplyDeleteThe poem is really touching and, you're right that we are all a little broken but it's ok. Your orange lilies are awesome to see--so many of them together.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful pics and post.
ReplyDeleteHello, my wish is everyone can live in peace. Love the pretty daylilies. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend ahead!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful progress of thoughts in poem and nice bright lilies across your fence… hope to see iris bloom soon.
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful flowers stand in stark contrast to your poem. Yes there is a lot of hate and bigotry in the world today. My country is being led by the most unpopular President ever and with good reason. I hope that cooler heads will prevail as many conflicts are started based on bigotry... Michelle
