This is an exciting meme, where I'm supposed to complete four given statements. The whole exercise inspires one to think and come up with new ideas to fill up the blanks. Below are four statements, which I've completed. The given words are in bold letters and are underlined ....
Here is my take:
1. One quirk I have is that
whenever I go out on foot, I carry a small bamboo stick with me. If it is funny, then so be it. Since a stray
bitch bit dear hubby badly without any warning and that necessitated his
getting six injections in the span of a month, I get scared even when I see a
stray dog at a distance. This is a menace in India. The animal rights
organizations have compounded the issue by not favoring their culling.
2. My favorite comic strip is
DENNIS THE MENACE. I simply adore Dennis' lovable, innocent pranks. So many times
he even embarrasses his parents by his off the cuff remarks. It is so endearing the way he suddenly comes out with a long forgotten harmless
comment his parents had made about the person /persons visiting them. How he
irritates his neighbor Mr. Wilson by barging into their house uninvited, is
amusing enough. However, it is gratifying to see the welcome he and his friend Joey
receive from good old Mrs. Wilson, who always welcomes them with cookies and milk.

3. I am really happy the day I experience a feeling of overall wellness. That is the day I accomplish the most and make positive affirmations for the future.
4. If I could go anywhere on a road trip,
I’d go to Scotland. Long time back when I’s a University student, I had read
Sir Walter Scott’s historical fiction. The magical images of valor, majestic
castles, the mountains, farmlands and coastlines he created had strayed into
some corner of the subconscious, which nudged me to refer to them in the Fill- Ins. The romance he
created with his writing style is well worth experiencing. The road trip might create some déjà vu moments.
Friends,welcome here as always!
Strays proliferate becausee of availability of food that they can scavenge in the large amount of garbage that is there on the streets.
ReplyDeleteA very good day to you my new friend. I too am very wary of stray dogs. All three of my sons who are now grown, have been bitten while on their paper route through the years. They have all learned to dislike dogs as a species. They are all three cat men.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to meet you. I have a blog as well as my pet having one. The name I sign here won your blog will be my cat's blog, but if you are interested, I have one as well and I will send the url upon request ...if desired.
My Indian friends seem to all be Bengali. I used to do a great deal of that style of cooking but I did it the old way by grinding and making my own spices and so on from that point...I made the ghee as well. HOURS!! So I have regretfully stopped cooking Indian food as it is too time consuming when I went to work and I know no other way to cook it otherthan the long approach. :-)
Please have a wonderful weekend and again, I enjoyed your Friday fill-ins. I filled in mine at McGuffy's blog and saw your name so hurried over here to meet a new friend from India..
A lovely read, it was so nice learning a little more about you. Thank you for visiting a while ago and leaving me a comment. I am back from my blog break now and enjoying catching up with my blogging friends.

ReplyDeleteYou have embraced this meme well! If you decide to travel to Scotland, you must call and I shall do the driving!!! Living here is of course quite different from Scott's view; but I am sure you would find your own, independent sense of wonder, adventure and romance!!! YAM xx
Thanks a lot Yamini!
DeleteI'd be carrying a stick to defend against any stray dogs if my loved one had been bitten, too! Your poor hubby!
ReplyDeleteI love Dennis the Menace!!
I would LOVE to visit Scotland, too! From what I've seen and read, it's an amazing place! :)
